Post to SlashdotThe centerpiece of today's announcement is five server mainboard products for dual processor (DP) Intel Xeon-based server platforms. The Intel Server Board SE7501WV2, Intel Server Board SE7501HG2, Intel Server Board SE7501BR2 and Intel Server Board SE7501CW2 provide a complete line of DP server boards for Intel Xeon with 533 MHz front-side bus and the Intel E7501 chipset. The Intel Server Board SE7505VB2, also for DP Xeon with 533 MHz, is designed for the E7505 chipset for both server and workstation applications.
All these new platforms support the latest technologies, such as Ultra320 SCSI with embedded RAID 0/1, full-featured Intel Server Management version 5.5 for remote server management and Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Server Connections.

In addition, Intel also introduced three Intel RAID controllers: the Intel RAID Controller SRCU42L, the Intel RAID Controller SRCS14L, and the Intel RAID Controller SRCZCR. The new RAID controllers are based around the Intel 80303 I/O processor and support the latest disk I/O interfaces: Ultra320 SCSI and Serial ATA. The differ with the number of ports and the size of onboard memory.
