A reader provided us some information concerning an NVIDIA Crush K8-based mainboard from Leadtek, a long-standing AIB partner of the Santa Clara, California-based GPU and core-logic solutions developer.

In the picture you can version 0.2 of Leadtek’s Crush K8 mainboard. As you see, there are 6 PCI slots and two DIMM slots in addition to Socket 754 for AMD Athlon 64 processor. Besides, the mainboard is equipped with Ageere Firewire chip supporting up to 3 IEEE1394 ports, Silicon Image RAID controller and should also have onboard Gigabit Ethernet adapter from a third-party vendors.
It is interesting to note that NVIDIA’s upcoming core-logic for Athlon 64 processors does not require active cooling solution, probably because of the fact that there are no integrated graphics and memory controllers integrated. Check out this news-story to learn more about chipsets from NVIDIA.
Specifications are obviously subject to change as market requires. We expect the final part to be available this Fall.
