Soltek, who became very well-known for its “Violet Eyes” mainboard earlier this year, will unveil yet another stylish product family now branded as “Black Thunder” this Fall. The new mainboards should impress not less than predecessors and also offer killing performance and feature-set over some or all rivals and competitors.

The “Black Thunder” versions of nForce3-based mainboards will be supplied in special bags designed to catch your eye and will also bring you the finest set of features and capabilities needed to build a high-end AMD Athlon 64-based system. Besides, Soltek will also offer VIA K8T800 mainboards in “Black Thunder” packages.

Based on the information I have at hands at this point, the “Black Thunder” mainboards will support Socket 754 Athlon 64 processors and up to 2GB of PC3200 memory (not a lot, isn’t it?). Certainly, the mainboards will be equipped with AGP 8x slot, Serial ATA-150 with or without RAID support, Parallel ATA-33/66/100/133, 10/100Mb/s Ethernet, USB 2.0, FireWire, 6-channel AC’97 audio and so on.

Pricing of the solutions is to be confirmed later.
