OCZ Technology continues to expand its lineup of memory modules for advanced end-users, such as overclockers. Recently the company introduced OCZ EL DDR PC4000 Gold Edition kit for dual-channel kit with operating speed of up to 500MHz.

OCZ Gold Edition PC4000 (DDR500) memory modules operate at 500MHz using pretty aggressive timings for such speed: CL2.5-4-4-7. Like you probably guessed, the modules are equipped with special heat-spreaders covered with gold, and are build using OCZ: Ultra Low Noise shielded PCBs. Additionally, they boast with Extended Voltage Protection technology.

Certainly, the modules are intended for use with Intel Pentium 4-based systems, such as those, powered with i865PE and i875P core-logic sets not only because they will bring more benefits for such PCs, but also because of the fact that very few AMD Athlon XP-based computers are able to operate with 250MHz FSB.

OCZ EL DDR PC4000 Gold Edition dual-channel kits will shortly be available in 512MB and 1GB versions. Pricing may vary.
