Mushkin Inc. that has been a little slower in joining the overclocker DDR3 manufacturers today announced XP3 series of their DDR3 SDRAM modules. According to the official press-release: “Designed for trailblazing enthusiasts seeking ultimate performance, the XP3 modules offer the reliability and speed needed for maximum frames per second in games and chart-topping benchmark scores.”

The third generation eXtreme Performance modules from Mushkin are held to the same stringent quality standards that make Mushkin a highly-regarded name within the overclocking community. “It’s our pleasure to announce the XP3 series modules at CeBIT this year”, said Brian Flood, Mushkin director of product development. “Our latest eXtreme Performance modules provide enhanced bandwidth over the aging DDR2 technology and allow overclocked multi-core processors to perform to their fullest.”

Among the DDR3 models announced by Mushkin are XP3-12800 (DDR3-1600) modules with 1GB and 2GB capacity and 7-7-6-18 timings working at 1.85-1.9V voltage. Besides, there are also 1GB XP3-14400 (DDR3-1800) modules with 8-8-7-20 timings and nominal voltage of 1.9-1.95V. Besides single modules, Mushkin will also offer 2GB and 4GB kits of the above mentioned models pairs.

The XP3 modules will be available worldwide the beginning of April in 1GB and 2GB single modules and 2GB (2 x 1GB) and 4GB (2x2GB) dual-channel kits. Every module is hand-tested beyond its rated specification and features Mushkin’s FrostByte heatspreader.
