It is not a secret that quality memory modules are easier to overclock. Also everybody knows that low-quality memory modules can cause instable work of the whole system. So, we need to buy quality RAM sticks both for overclocking as well as for stable and reliable work of your personal computer. But what to do if we are in tight-budget? We all know that memory from such companies like Corsair and OCZ costs quite a lot, so, sometimes we have to trade-off quality for price and otherwise.
<%BANNER[article]%>OCZ this week announced its new Premier Series DDR. OCZ Premier Series is designed for users who want to have fast and quality memory, but are cannot afford buying all those monstrous memory modules for overclocking geeks. OCZ Premier Series will be shipping in speeds up to 433MHz (PC3500) with 2.5-4-4 2T timings. OCZ Premier Series DDR use the hand selected OCZ IC’s built on OCZ ULN PCB. In order to deliver the modules at a lower price point, they will not include heat-spreaders.
Pricing is unknown, though, absence of heat-spreaders and also not really aggressive timings should make the modules more or less cheap. Hopefully, these modules should be a nice choice and I will not be surprised if OCZ’s rivals start to offer the same kinds of products.
