The company that was used to be famous because of its mainboards – Walton Chaintech – has joined the club of vendors shipping the world’s highest-performance memory modules. Recently Walton Chaintech started to ship DDR3 memory sticks capable of operation at 2.40GHz, the highest “official” clock-speed for memory modules.
Walton Chaintech’s Apogee GT DDR3-2400 memory modules can operate at 2400MHz with CL9 11-10-27 timings at 1.6V voltage settings. The company ships such memory modules in dual-channel kits – designed for Intel processors in LGA1156 form-factor – with 2GB or 4GB capacities (per set). The memory modules are equipped with heat-pipe-based cooling solutions.
Apart from Walton Chaintech, only Kingston, Corsair Memory and Patriot ship memory modules capable of hitting 2.40GHz in dual-channel mode.
Pricing of Apogee GT DDR3-2400 memory modules is unknown.
