Apple on Tuesday unveiled one of the most anticipated gadget of the year, the new iPhone 5s. The new smartphone from Apple features a number of very advanced capabilities, including new 64-bit application processor with motion co-processor, fingerprint reader, significantly improved camera as well as redesigned iOS 7 operating system. At the same time, the novelty has the same 4” display, similar design and a lot of other things inherited from the iPhone 5.

“iPhone 5s is the most forward-thinking smartphone in the world, delivering desktop class architecture in the palm of your hand. iPhone 5s sets a new standard for smartphones, packed into its beautiful and refined design are breakthrough features that really matter to people, like Touch ID, a simple and secure way to unlock your phone with just a touch of your finger,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing.

At the heart of the new iPhone 5s, there is Apple A7 system-on-chip that features two custom-designed 64-bit general-purpose processing cores compatible with ARMv8 architecture, powerful Imagination PowerVR series 6 “Rogue” graphics engine with OpenGL ES 3.0 support, 1MB of L2 cache and so on. The chip contains over a billion of transistors and is believed to be made by Samsung Semiconductor.

The iPhone 5s also includes the new M7 motion coprocessor that gathers data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and compass to offload work from the A7 for improved power efficiency. The M7 motion coprocessor continuously measures motion data, even when the device is asleep, and saves battery life for pedometer or other fitness apps that use the accelerometer all day. Developers can also access new CoreMotion APIs that take advantage of M7, so they can create better fitness and activity apps.

Apple’s latest smartphone also features all-new 8MP iSight camera with a larger f/2.2 aperture and a new, larger sensor with 1.5μ pixels for better sensitivity and low-light performance, resulting in better pictures. iPhone 5s introduces the new True Tone flash – the world’s first for any camera – that variably adjusts color and intensity for over 1000 combinations, so photos taken with a flash appear more natural. iPhone 5s also includes a new Burst Mode, Slo-Mo video with 120 fps, a new FaceTime HD camera for better low-light performance and audio-only FaceTime calls with iOS 7

iPhone 5s also introduces Touch ID, a simple and secure way to unlock an iPhone with just the touch of a finger. Built into the home button, Touch ID uses a laser cut sapphire crystal, together with the capacitive touch sensor, to take a high-resolution image of a fingerprint and intelligently analyze it to provide accurate readings from any angle. The Touch ID sensor recognizes the touch of a finger so the sensor is only activated when needed, preserving battery life. All fingerprint information is encrypted and stored securely in the secure enclave inside the A7 chip on the iPhone 5s; it’s never stored on Apple servers. Touch ID can also be used as a secure way to approve purchases from Apple’s online stores.

Finally, Apple iPhone 5s supports for up to 13 4G/LTE wireless bands, dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi support for up to 150Mb/s and Bluetooth 4.0. iPhone 5s delivers 10 hours of talk time on 3G networks, up to 10 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE networks and up to 8 hours on 3G networks, and up to 10 hours of video playback and up to 40 hours of audio playback.

Just like many other Apple devices, the iPhone 5s supports iOS 7, engineered to support the A7 chip’s 64-bit architecture, the new iSight camera and Touch ID fingerprint sensor. iOS 7 features a new user interface, completely redesigned with a new color palette, distinct, functional layers and subtle motion that make it feel more alive. iOS 7 has hundreds of new features, including Control Center, Notification Center, improved Multitasking, AirDrop, enhanced Photos, Safari, Siri and introduces iTunes Radio, a free Internet radio service based on the iTunes music.

Apple iPhone 5s comes in gold, silver or space gray, and will be available in the U.S. for a suggested retail price of $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB model. iPhone 5s will be available in the U.S., Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK on Friday, September 20. By the end of the year the model 5s will be available on over 100 markets.

What a joke! Same phone for 4 years now, packed with some useless features, and now with an extremely ugly OS.

This phone represents 5 year old technology. How do I know? I fiddled with a much more advanced mobile phone from Japan in September 2008. I was staying in a youth hostel in Europe with a Japanese room mate. He proudly gave me a demo of this phone. Naturally, the entire phone interface was in Japanese without any English at all. It had a design I had never come across - it was sort of like the Samsung sliding phones circa 2005 however the screen physically rotated 180 degrees (90 degrees left of centre and 90 degrees right of centre - ie portrait and landscape x2 directions ). It had an inbuilt analogue TV with an extendable antenna. It had dual cameras. And of course the finger print scanner on the back! I really couldn't believe it. I was so excited I shot a video from my compact camera (remember them?). But unfortunately my camera was stolen on the second last day of my 5 week trip. Now the story is almost like if how I stubbled across a Yeti in the wild.

now sad apple fanboys should happy......

apple hide many things now unwrap that-

1.most wanted star is iphone 5C right, yeh unlocked 5c priced at 549USD WTF Chinese looks with outdated A6 chip at 549$ just for reference sony xperia z is avilable at 549USD(unlocked) from sony store, only blind apple fools will buy this crap.

2.u know why apple going with 64bit dual core cpu(iphone5S) at place of quad core 32bit, real reason is multitasking in terms of multitasking ios stands nowhere near to android so more cores r useless in case of apple.even new ios7 will be nothing in terms of multitasking when android comes in picture.

3.newest apple innovation is fingerprint reader i think from different angle.....i.e. now NSA will have real time data of apple user's fingerprints,so anyone who don't want to share their privacy should avoid this product coz now NSA will have evidence that which website, sms, chat, call u did. no need to say that criminals(like snowdan) never buy this stuff ,past 1 year iphone was best choice for drug-dealers now it will be worst. just consider today any criminal(like snowdan) uses friends iphone 5S next morning he will be busted just coz of fingerprints and location(they have that in real-time).and the best part is fingerprint reader is placed so nicly wheather u want or not u will touch that and then........ alrady said in past that THEIR CUSTOMERS R ZOMBIES...

a group of experts said that-

apple is the most trusted and useful partner of NSA they have backdoors in apple devices such that no one can imagine,,, it is possible on apple devices that they can take pictures, shoots video, record audio even when device is locked and send to some agencies. in simple iphone in ur pocket can record ur talks with friends, can take surrounding shoots when calling or out of pocket.....etc.

and about apple encryption, NSA have the master keys

and yes they can send ur whole phoneook, call logs, sms inbox outbox, chat etc. without ur knowledge means without consuming internet and if u r on at&t network than 100% sure

now i understands why smart people and criminals(like julian assange) not uses apple, why apple devices r banned in wikileaks offices, why they r banned in militry locaations.

The phone of choice for criminals was Blackberry, because of its encryption.
The NSA hated that!

Oh boy, now I can use 64-bit variables on a phone. Oh wait, that would butcher the performance of any current phone that does 64-bit calculations, the iphone 5s won't be an exception.
