L International Computers, a company known for promising to deliver ultra high-end hardware with exclusive features, announced plans to create laptops that feature no keyboard, but use special OLED touch-screens instead.
<%BANNER[article]%>The company said that it “had shown off” concept PC designs powered by Intel’s quad-core microprocessors as well as “featuring design approaches to soon be integrated in its upcoming portable computing product line”. The supplier claims that the new blueprints, include the first “keyboard-less” series laptop machines, replaced with a “large secondary full-color and fully programmable high-resolution touch screen OLED display”, a concept similar to highly-discussed Art Lebedev Studio’s Optimus keyboard.
L International said that users will be able to switch on the fly any language or layout on the keyboard as well as precision-controlling parameters such as keystroke key speed and pressure. The displays can be instantly changed to gaming mode as virtual joysticks or any specific application such as music composition or video editing where the whole keyboard area can be programmed and called upon any specific application with customized controllers.
L International did not showcase photos of the prototype notebook and also did not specify when it will be available commercially. In the past observers accused L Computers of advertising products it cannot supply.

Lieberman, or L Computers, shut the company down in late 2004 due to lack of financing, but has reborn itself since then and become a public company listed at Pink Sheets.
