Display Makers Begin Production of Monitors for Next-Gen Apple iPhone Next Month

Sharp and Others to Start Making Next-Gen Apple iPhone Displays in June

Sharp Corp. and other partners of Apple are expected to begin production of displays for next-generation Apple iPhone as soon as next month, according to a media report. The display panel is not dramatically different compared to existing one that is used in iPhone 5. In case the information is correct, then Apple should be on-track to release its new iPhone in September.

 

The specification of the liquid crystal display (LCD) panel of the next Apple iPhone model are close to the current iPhone 5, reports Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. Sharp Corp. as well as other partners of Apple, including Japan Display and LG Electronics have received orders for next-gen Apple iPhone displays and are expected to begin mass production in June, 2013.

Apple is expected to release its next-generation iPhone 5S smartphone this September. Based on currently available information, the iPhone 5S will be very similar to the currently available model from the outside, but will face a number of internal changes. The smartphone will run incoming iOS 7 operating system.
