Razer, one of the world’s leading maker of PC peripherals for gamers, on Thursday unveiled Razer Blade, the world’s thinnest gaming laptop. The Razer Blade, measuring in at just 0.66-inches thick, packs more power-per-cubic-inch than any other laptop in the world and is based on Intel Core i-series “Haswell” microprocessors and new-generation Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M graphics adapter.

“We have designed and built the thinnest, most powerful 14” laptop in the world. Thinner than a dime and more powerful than other traditional desktop replacements today, we’ve created an entirely new category of thin and powerful laptops that is generations ahead of other PCs,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director.

Razer Blade laptop is based on fourth-generation Intel Core i “Haswell” microprocessors and Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M (768 stream processors, 850MHz clock-speed, 128-bit GDDR5 memory controller). The system features 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3L memory and comes standard with 128GB of total solid-state storage with options for a 256GB or 512GB mSATA SSD. The Razer Blade comes with 14” display with 1600*900 resolution, Dolby Home Theatre v4 audio, Qualcomm Killer Wireless-N high-performance wireless networking adapter, 1.3MP webcam and so on.

While the Razer Blade is very powerful, it is clearly not another performance-packed system that sacrifices aesthetics, battery life, weight and many other aspects for raw performance. Designed entirely in-house by the renowned Razer design team, Blade has a rigid all-aluminum chassis and features custom-made gaming grade trackpad that offers multi-touch gesture support. The Razer Blade also features a full-size backlit gaming keyboard that has full anti-ghosting capabilities and programmable keys powered by the Synapse 2.0 technology.

The new 14” Razer Blade embodies Razer’s continuing goal to design the world’s best gaming laptops for those that need insanely powerful performance in the thinnest form factors to game anywhere, anytime. Unlike the majority of gaming systems, Razer Blade can actually be a fine mobile PC since it delivers up to six hours of battery life.

The Razer Blade will be available for pre-order starting June 3. Price starts at $1799.
