Samsung Electronics released an image and a video teasing the launch of its newest innovative TV to be revealed at the 2013 International CES, the largest consumer electronics show in North America, held in Las Vegas from January 8-11, 2013. Most probably, the new TVs will feature an innovative design as well as a range of new smart features.

"A true innovation of TV design is coming up with an unprecedented new TV shape and timeless gallery design," a statement by Samsung reads.

Regrettably, no actual details are available not only about the forthcoming TV, but even about the nature of innovation. It is logical to expect Samsung Electronics to roll-out its range of ultra-high definition TVs with 4K (3840*2160) resolution at the Consumer Electronics Show. However, one teaser image suggests that the TV will either have portrait layout (the world’s first, but very doubtful innovation), or ultra-bright screen capable of offereing never-before-seen image quality.

Samsung has also released a teaser video, where TVs are coming out of their homes and shopping malls and leaving on a trip, riding a bus and a skateboard. The TVs are gathering around a large venue which reminds of CES and the TVs are staring in the same direction. The video ends there with a large object on display covered by a white veil. On the video, the TV looks just like the other high-def TV-sets.

The video shows off a street ad with a new tagline for Samsung Smart TVs: “Discover more of the TV you love”, which also depicts a TV with numerous TV-channel preview images. In theory, this may mean that Samsung is set to reveal an interactive TV with facial recognition, personal recommendations and possibly even content services.

It is also known that Samsung is set to introduce a whole new “Smart Hub” at 2013 International CES. The new Smart Hub is Samsung Smart TV’s dedicated contents platform where viewers can enjoy various contents such as real time broadcasting TV programs, on-demand movies, apps, and photos. The platform changes the design of background image and simplifies the user interface to better serve the customers.

It is highly likely that Samsung intends to reveal the Smart Hub platform along with a brand new TV design at the trade-show. The TVs will feature ultra-thin bezel made of light metal, such as steel. Some of the new TVs will likely be UHD TVs with 4K resolution.
