The world’s largest graphics company ATI Technologies today unveiled its new external TV-tuner product designed to work with USB 2.0 bus. The device provides discrete low-cost high-quality solutions for desktop and notebook PCs.

TV WONDER USB 2.0 features TV viewing with full personal video recorder (PVR) capabilities, and video capture for editing.

The new TV WONDER USB 2.0 is powered by ATI’s TV-tuner that handles stereo audio reception as well as 125 TV-channels. The video-in and video-out capabilities are provided by the highly-acclaimed THEATER 200 chip. Additional capabilities of the TV WONDER USB 2.0 are the same compared to other solutions from ATI Technologies with multimedia capabilities.

Available this summer in North America, TV WONDER USB 2.0 will be offered in two versions: TV WONDER USB 2.0 REMOTE CONTROL EDITION with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of USD$149 and TV WONDER USB 2.0 with an MSRP of USD$100. ATI did not elaborate on the version of the device for the EU and Asia.
