It is not a secret that Nintendo does not have plans to end-of-life its original Wii game console. Moreover, it is preparing a new version of the system, which will be smaller, lighter and cheaper to manufacture. The Nintendo Wii Mini game system will be available in early December, less than two weeks from now.

The redesigned compact Nintendo Wii Mini game console will be released on December 7, 2012, and will come with sensor bar, Nunchuk and Wii Remote Plus with jacket game console, reports Nintendo World Report. It is likely that the smaller version of Wii will cost the same amount of money as today’s console, or $129 per unit.

Nintendo traditionally releases smaller versions of its consoles late in their lifecycles. The company addresses price-conscious buyers with such redesigned game consoles.

Nintendo released its next-generation Wii U game systems on November 18, 2012, in the U.S. Basic white version of Wii U costs $299, Deluxe black flavour of the console retails for $349.
