G.Skill, a company known for its one of the world’s leading memory modules, said Monday it would start making various peripherals for PC gamers this year. The first products from the company in a new field will be gaming headsets that will be formally unveiled at the upcoming Computers Taipei 2013 trade-show on early June.
Although PC performance remains a critical characteristic of any personal computer, many products, such as high-speed memory modules, are losing their appeal to enthusiasts now that multi-channel memory sub-systems exist and PCs do not depend so heavily on performance of memory sub-system in general. As a result, companies primarily known for their memory modules, start to build other PC components, including solid-state drives or cooling solutions in order to keep growing.
Being one of the leading specialist in computer memory, G.Skill said this week it would enter the field of PC gaming peripherals with newly engineered gaming headsets. While the company did not reveal any further plans, it is logical to expect G.Skill to debut other product lines as well since only headsets will barely open the doors for a significant growth.
G.Skill will be announcing top-to-bottom family of gaming headsets with various industry-first features and of very high build-quality. Detailed specifications and pricing will be released after the debut.
“Along with G.Skill’s persistence on creating products of the highest quality and cutting-edge designs, the new headsets are set to satisfy all kinds of gaming needs,” a statement by the company reads.
Computex Taipei 2013 trade-show will take place in Taiwan from June 4 to June 8, 2013.

I wonder if this G.Skill Headset will include... memory foam?
(sorry, couldn't resist)
Well, I wonder if it'll be a USB surround headset or not. I love surround headsets. If they can include a great onboard, low-distortion sound card, that'll be awesome. Heck, if they can make it USB 3.0 (for extra power and bandwidth, so they can increase sound quality), that will be epic.
Can't wait for the release.

This is a typical case of G.Skill seeing Corsair able to re-lable somebody else's crap and sell it for a good profit to the gullible. Thus G.Skill is looking to do the same deal as it's like finding money. They don't have to manufacture anything and if sales suck they just discontinue selling the crap.
