Microsoft Corp. has unveiled details about the Xbox One licensing policies. While the company will not require a constant Internet connection, it will still have to be connected to the web in order to perform verifications of licenses every 24 hours. Besides, the firm confirmed that connection will be needed for games that take advantage of cloud computing.

For an optimal experience, Microsoft recommends a broadband connection of 1.5Mb/s, which sounds like okay as the average global internet connection speed as measured recently by Akamai was 2.9Mb/s. While a persistent connection is not required, Xbox One is designed to verify if system, application or game updates are needed and to see if a user has acquired new games, or resold, traded in, or given a game to a friend. Naturally, games that are designed to take advantage of the cloud will require a connection.

What is important is that with Xbox One gamers can play offline for up to 24 hours on the primary console, or one hour if logged on to a separate console. Offline gaming will not possible after these prescribed times until a connection is re-established.

Microsoft has created a global network of more than 300,000 Xbox Live and Windows Azure servers, to help creators realize their visions of what is possible with a connected system. 

Microsoft Xbox One is based on AMD Fusion custom-designed system-on-chip with eight x86 low-power/low-cost Jaguar cores, AMD Radeon HD graphics with GCN architecture (with 32MB ESRAM/EDRAM buffer) as well as 8GB of DDR3 system memory. The console features 500GB hard disk drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet, output of video with up to 4K resolution (3840*2160) using HDMI 1.4 as well as 7.1-channel audio. The new Xbox One comes with completely redesigned Kinect sensor that will feature 1920*1080 RGB camera, improved infrared sensor and enhanced voice controls. The console sports a number of functions, e.g. TV-cable pass-through that will seamlessly integrate it into the living room

Microsoft Xbox One is expected to hit the market in October, 2013. Pricing is not known, but it is not expected to be affordable.

so frnds if u remember i already said that before 1 month that Xbox One Will Require internet in Every 24 Hours.

how many people have free unlimited internet and what about developing countries where very less people have internet.

microsoft should write this on Xbox one pack-"if u don't have internet than buy on ur own risk".
microsoft don't do that. it's sucide
