Anyone know if the rumor about X1 pulling computing power from the cloud got confirmed?

It was not confirmed, nor will it be.

Microsoft only said they can leverage the cloud and they used a poor choice of words to say it. Microsoft is way too big of crooks to give out that much power without huge compensation. Hell no company could give you cloud computing power for free without large compensation, it's an expensive service.

They might be thinking it would go some way to justify the Xbox Live Gold subscription if games actually looked much better when you were all signed up and linked in to their servers???

You make a good point that it would give live a reason to be paid but this is microsoft here. If they give you the "cloud power" that they stated, I would be HIGHLY surprised. Sony just revealed their console to be more powerful and $100 cheaper. Microsoft isn't one to give things away cheaply.

ms could sell this cheaper if they had a bundle that had no Kinect and a 250gb hard drive.

Xbox one - worthy or paperdragon?

MS already know that it can't set price high coz PS4 is more powerful so basically MS trying to attract customers via offers...nice trick but works for limited time.
now we have to wait for PS4 pricing i think it should be 399$.

keep it up microsoft...keep it up. Just be prepared for another huge windows phone 8 like success.

PS4 already won the race-
1.Ps4 has backward compatibility with ps3 games, Xbox One is not compatible with x360 games.
2.No regional lock on PS4, Xbox One has regional lock to sell overpriced content and to cheat people.
3.No used game lock(just share with friends)onn PS4,in Xbox One it’s a tricky thing.
4.Many multimedia capabilities
5.PS4 does not require “ALWAYS ON internet “, Xbox One will require internet at least in a day.
6.PS4 will give better visuals and Frame rates, this is quite simple as PS4 is much powerful than Xbox One and easy to code (not like ps3 –so difficult to code).

I will buy PS4 even comes on price tag of 500$. And for xbox one I say no if even cheaper than ps4 reason they are Gaming console not fancy set-top box. And on ps4 we will get much better texture, physics, frame rates, details than xbox one

xbox one require internet for its many HD multimedia features, which requires a fast at least 8Mbps and good quality internet –how many countries have this ? even china and india’s (2nd and 3rd largest economies ) average internet speed is around 1-1.5 Mbps with considerable connection drops , than how that HD multimedia will work, I think xbox one is made for US only.
Who will talk on Skype in front of TV I think we all use when we are walking, in our garden , or when doing some work

Sony ps3 was behind x360 coz less titles for ps3 reason is, it is difficult to develop titles for ps3’s cell cpu but ps4 has x86 cpu so no such problem,

Be prepared to remember PS2 days.

here many frnds talking that MS should launch a non kinect Xbox one right,, sorry again a secret.last time i said that xbox one will require internet atleast in a day and now this is officially confirmed but actually microsoft is hiding much bigger thing wanna know-

one developer website said that u can only use xbox one when kinect is on and microsoft already said that "U CAN'T DISCONNECT KINECT" and microsoft will revel that after making people fool.
actually microsoft want to spying our living rooom.

so frnds r u agree to show ur private moments to microsoft that's the reason why xbox one require internet atleast in a day so it can send last days pics to microsoft.
if my younger brother buys a xbox one i will surly throw that to sewage...
so frnds r u ready to share ur private moments to all microsft guys?

Yeah, the Xbox is the FBIbox - getting the kids to spy on the parents.
2 0 [Posted by: linuxlowdown  | Date: 06/11/13 05:37:28 AM]

The spying concern wasn't groundless. The new Kinect can see in the dark..OH **** I THINK U GOT WHAT IT MEANS, pick out human voices in a noisy living room and read your heartrate just by looking at your face. It was unveiled by Microsoft as a fixture of the fall-releasing Xbox One. The thing has to be plugged in for the console to work, and is in some way already checking out what's going on in the room it's in.
other thing is if u forget to say "kinect off" then ur all private moments will uploaded to microsoft....

^ I think some of the above comments are a little (well actually a lot paranoid though I agree the kinect should be an accessory that can be unplugged without affecting basic functionality
