The new, limited edition Pink PlayStation 2 will be available from selected retailers throughout Europe from 8th November 2006 and will come complete with two pink analog controllers (DualShock 2) and a pink memory card (8MB). The recommended price for the part is €159.99 (£129.99 in the UK, approximately $205), whereas a typical PlayStation 2 now costs €129.99 (£94.99 in the UK, approximately $166).

A limited edition P!nk PSP Value Pack will be available from 27th October 2006 and will include a Pink PlayStation Portable, with all the necessary accessories – white headphones with remote control, pouch, wrist strap and a 32MB Memory Stick Duo. Pricing is yet unknown.

Pink coloured game consoles may be attractive to those who like fancy gadgets or to young children, who would like to own a device that looks just like a toy.
