Today we begin our regular series of news-stories about reviews published on other web-sites. OCAddiction has got their hands on the newly released Serial ATA-150 hard disk drive from Maxtor, the DiamondMax Plus 9 SATA 160GB HDD with 8MB of cache. Although their initial expectations were relatively low, the tests proved that they were not correct. Read the whole thing over here.
AnandTech has reviewed ABIT BH7 mainboard, which is positioned by the company as a low-cost Intel Pentium 4 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus-supporting solution. Anand calls this mainboard "the most overclocker-friendly desktop Pentium 4 motherboard we have ever come across". Read the review here. The guys also examine the first even retail mainboard on VIA KT400A over here. At least, the chipset has made it to the test-lab and hopefully will also reach retail some day.
But have you ever wondered about a server for $300 running on a Pentium 4 processor? Well, maybe it is not a bad deal, at least, it is definitely worth a bit reading over here, at OverClockers.com.
We are endlessly mentioning these days about AMD Athlon XP processors with 400MHz FSB to come this Spring, but what about even faster FSBs for the good-old K7? Find out what the reviewers over HardTecs4U think about LeadTek K7NCR18D Pro II based on NVIDIA nForce2 and AMD Athlon XP processor combo that hit 460MHz FSB over here.
Overclocker Café follows up their Thermaltake SubZero4G Pentium 4 cooler review with an article about its brother, the SubZero4G TEC (ThermoElectric Cooling, or just Peltier) unit for AMD CPUs. They especially point out low noise level and say that the SubZero4G is a new dimension in processors cooling. Read it here and form your own opinion.
