Dell Inc.’s new generation gaming system, which the company unveiled early on Thursday, will sport four GeForce 7900 graphics processors along with dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo-series chip, it was revealed during the E3 exhibition.

Intel Corp., the world’s largest maker of x86 microprocessors and the exclusive supplier of central processing units (CPUs) to Dell, has demonstrated Dell’s new XPS-series system at the E3 exhibition in Los Angeles, California. The new Dell XPS Renegade 700 will feature Intel’s Core 2-series processor along with four GeForce 7900 graphics cards in quad SLI configuration.

The new system from Dell will also feature Nvidia’s new core-logic for Intel processors, which is set to boost performance and add new features to the platform, something, which may be appreciated by enthusiasts of extreme speed and functionality.

The new system from Dell is also likely to feature a physics processor by Ageia, an X-Fi audio card from Creative Technology, a high-performance Raptor hard disk drive array from Western Digital and other premium components, which should justify the price of about $10 000 per system, the approximate price-point of Dell's XPS Renegade 600.

The design of the new Dell XPS is totally different compared to the XPS family machines shipping today. The new computer case is very stylish and comes with red or blue lighting on the front panel, completely dissimilar from the contemporary XPS systems, but resembling the recently sold-out XPS 600 Renegade that came with pre-overclocked processor and an array of four Nvidia GeForce 7900-based graphics cards.

Dell says that the new XPS will come in a specially-designed aluminum case that will ensure efficient cooling, quiet operation and easy expansion. “It will be the most customizable system Dell has ever offered,” the company claims.

Dell’s web-site portrays the new XPS desktop as “hero”, “warrior”, “king”, “champion” and the “next generation of PC gaming”.
