Acer Group, the world’s second largest maker of personal computers, said that the recently released Microsoft Windows 7 operating system actually helped to increase sales of personal computers, which allowed the company to boost its revenue expectations.

“When we saw the features of Windows 7, we already knew that it would be good for demand. We have no plans to revise,” said Gianfranco Lanci, chief executive officer of Acer, reports Reuters news-agency.

Acer's CEO said that the company was keeping its quarterly revenue outlook and maintaining a 15% sales growth target for next year.

Acer is the first large supplier of personal computers to confirm that Microsoft Windows 7 has actually become a sales boosting instrument. Perhaps, this is a testament of the high-quality of Windows 7.

Microsoft Windows 7 boasts with a number of improvements compared to its predecessor Windows Vista, which include improved stability, reliability, feature-set as well as support for numerous innovative technologies.
