Hercules, which by some lucky chance has become one of ATI’s major partners promised to start shipping its graphics cards based on RADEON 7500 and RADEON 8500 chips in February, as we remember. Today, on the first day of the month, we are ready to provide you the so-long awaited details on the new Hercules graphics cards family built on ATI chips. So far, I could offer you the details about three solutions:
  • 3D Prophet ALL-IN-WONDER 7500. This graphics card is based on ATI RADEON 7500 chip and is equipped with 64MB DDR SDRAM. The chip works at 250MHz, the memory – at 366MHz. 3D Prophet ALL-IN-WONDER 7500 will feature a TV-tuner supporting PAL B/G/D/K/I and SECAM L/D/K, as well as Time Shifting technology. Also the card equipped with a DVI-Out (the package includes a special DVI-to-VGA converter), TV-Out, TV-In and Dolby AC-3 digital Out, will have a multimedia RAGE THETER chip onboard. Of course, this card will also support HydraVision technology, which allows using a TV-set connected to a TV-Out as a second video signal receiver. 3D Prophet ALL-IN-WONDER 7500 will start selling in mid February for about 299 Euro.

  • 3D Prophet ALL-IN-WONDER 8500 DV. This graphics card is based on ATI RADEON 8500 chip working at 230MHz and will be equipped with 64MB DDR SDRAM working at 366MHz. the card will be provided with a stereo TV-tuner and accompanied by a remote control unit. It will also have a DVI-Out (the package includes a special DVI-to-VGA converter), TV-Out, TV-In, Dolby AC-3 digital Out and IEEE 1394 interface. All these output ports are implemented via a multimedia RAGE THETER chip. The card will also support HydraVision technology, which allows using a TV-set as a second video signal receiver. 3D Prophet ALL-IN-WONDER 8500 DV will start selling in mid February for about 549 Euro.

  • 3D Prophet FDX 8500 LE. Unlike two previous models, this graphics card can’t boast any wide range of multimedia functions. This is a regular RADEON 8500LE with 64MB DDR SDRAM. The chip and memory frequencies make 250MHz/500MHz respectively. The card will be equipped with a VGA-, DVI- and TV-Outs. It was expected to appear in retail in the end of January and to sell for around 199 Euro.
