The representatives of some large hardware manufacturers seem to be fond of misleading people. Despite the announcement recently made by Intel’s rep about 0.13micron Pentium 4 processors with 1.6GHz and 1.8GHz core clock saying that they will not sell openly, one if these models managed to turn up in four Japanese stores already. It is all about the eldest Pentium 4 1.8GHz CPU, which is now selling for $262-$248.
Of course, it is not the best solution for an overclocking fan, but if this model is already selling, then why can’t the 1.6GHz model appear as well? Maybe things are not so bad as they seemed at first glance...
