Usually we disregard events like some vice-president appointments or the like. Every company has its vice-presidents, and there is usually nothing special about that. However, this time we couldn’t help drawing your attention to this event, because the thing took place in Intel Company and moreover, there were 16 vice-presidents appointed at a time.
We will not list all the names and responsibilities here (you can see the official press-release for more details on that). We would like to point out a couple of interesting facts. First, all the mentioned positions are new ones, which means that Intel increases the administrative part of its company. Second, all 16 vice-presidents have been working in Intel for a long time already, i.e. it is a none other but a step-up (the most honoured are Keith E. Reese and Anthony F. Sica who have been working in Intel since 1979). Third, most appointments took place in "Technology and Manufacturing Group" and "Architecture Group", which gives us a great idea of the company’s preferred directions.
