SUMA announced a new graphics card based on NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti500 chip. The newcomer is called PLATINUM GeForce3 Ti 500 SE. This graphics card is none other but a regular GeForce3 Ti 500 with 64MB DDR SDRAM with 3.8ns access time, equipped with a TV- and a DVI-Out.
Why did they then call this graphics card a Special Edition piece? At first glance its features seem quite ordinary… The answer is very simple: the memory on PLATINUM GeForce3 Ti 500 SE is clocked at 516MHz as default, which is 16MHz above the nominal. The core frequency remains equal to the standard 240MHz. We have to point out that although SUMA has slightly increased the memory frequency on its graphics card, it is equipped with the same memory chips as any other GeForce3 Ti 500 based solution from other manufacturers.
