TYAN Company announced that they started shipping their new Trinity i845DDR (S2095) mainboard based on Intel 845 chipset with B0 core stepping supporting PC2100/PC1600 DDR SDRAM.
The exterior of the novelty reminds of the predecessor, Trinity i845 (S2090). As you may have already guessed, the only significant difference between them is the memory slots. Trinity i845DDR has two DIMM slots for the maximum of 2GB / 4 banks of DDR SDRAM, while Trinity i845 is equipped with 3 DIMM slots for the maximum of 3GB PC100/PC133 SDRAM. Another difference between the two solutions is the Intel 82562 10/100 Ethernet controller, which may go as an option with Trinity i845DDR mainboard (the model with LAN is called S2095AN, the model without LAN – S2095A).
All the other mainboard specs remained unchanged. The board is designed in ATX form-factor (supports ATX 2.01 power supply units without the additional 12V connector) for Socket478 Pentium 4 processors. There are 6 PCI slots, an AGP 4x slot, ATA/100 support due to ICH2, AC’97 sound, etc.
