Only 4 days after the first 0.13micron Pentium 4 processors working at 2GHz (see
this news story) appeared and 10 days before their official announcement, we can state that their sales are in full swing in many retail hardware stores in Japan. Moreover, there are not only tray versions available but also the boxed ones.

For instance, the CPU on the picture above, namely the boxed Pentium 4 2.2GHz (with a cooler, of course) has been already noticed in 8 different hardware stores selling for $606-$674, which is quite OK bearing in mind that their wholesale price in 1,000-unit quantities is expected to be around $562 (see this news story).
