750MHz DDR SDRAM Chip from Hynix. [12/21/2001 04:24 AM]

Hynix seems to have got tired of being considered technologically slow and decided to please the world with some fresh new technological innovation. Namely, they presented the engineering samples of the 128Mbit DDR SDRAM chips manufactured with 0.16micron technology and intended for the graphics market (for 4M x 32 configurations).
According to the information from the official press-release, these chips marked as HY5DU283222F can work at 375MHz (750MHz DDR, 2.76ns). They are packed into 144-pin FBGA package 12mm x 12mm and cost $10 per piece in wholesale quantities. Their mass production should start in Q1 2002. The complete marking of these chips is unknown yet, but we expect it to look something like this: HY5DU283222F-27 or HY5DU283222F-26.
