According to The Inquirer, ASUS started mass supplies of its P4B266 mainboard, the one we told you on December 3 and the one, which took part in our Intel 845D (i845 B-Step) Chipset Review, the Pentium 4 chipset supporting PC2100 DDR SDRAM. As for the second mainboard on this chipset, namely ASUS P4B266-M, there is no info about it so far, however, it is not that important now. We can easily guess that many of the mainboard manufacturrs will start shipping their solutions on the same chipsets today. In other words, "it has started..."
By the way, Mike from The Inquirer called ASUS "Mr Number One mobo firm in the world", and we would add here "only in terms of revenues", because as for the quality of the mainboards sold this company yielded to another member of the Big Four – to Elitegroup, this year. There is nothing eternal in this world :)
