It’s interesting to see how PowerColor (to be more precise CP Technology) keeps going hot and cold. At first they were manufacturing graphics cards only on NVIDIA chips, then they launch a family of cards based on ATI solutions, and now we came across some info, that this company is planning to enter the mainboard market. And they are going to start with an A4 chipset from ATI and not from nForce, from their former sovereign. However, the situation may change later on, as we all know very well how giddy and light-minded this company is.
As for the possible prospects for this company is a new market segment… Why not, actually? Leadtek is producing mainboards without any problems and feels very good about it. However, in both cases, it is all only about outsourcing (the manufacturing by other companies), that is why the success depends totally on proper marketing policy.
