As you remember, Taiwanese graphics cards maker, PowerColor, made some scandalous announcement this spring about their intention to use only NVIDIA chips in all their upcoming graphics products (see this news story). Later one the company got into a several funny situations because of this strange and most probably forced decision (see this news story). However, all this stir couldn’t prevent PowerColor from selling quite successfully its non-NVIDIA based cards under a different brand name (see this news story).
And now finally, the almost half-a-year "I love you, NVIDIA" show is over. From now on the cards built on ATi graphics chips are absolutely officially listed in the PowerColor product range. Note that there appeared a great lot of cards at once. The list includes: RADEON 8500 Ultra (hm, there is no chip like that, actually, but the card exists!), RADEON 8500 PRO (it is most likely to be the regular RADEON 8500 275MHz/275MHz), RADEON 8500LE, Radeon 7000 32MB SDR, RADEON 7500 PRO, RADEON 7500VE, Radeon 7000 64MB SDR, Radeon 7200 64MB DDR TV, Radeon 7000 32MB DDR and even the already forgotten Rage 128 PRO.
