No, no, the company hasn’t yet made any official announcements of the kind, even though the mainboards under the brand name of this company, which is famous for its graphics cards, have already appeared in Japanese hardware shops. We are talking about one mainboards on i845 chipset aka IVMB-845.
This mainboard is designed to support Socket478 Pentium 4 processors. It is equipped with 3 DIMM slots for PC133 SDRAM, an AGP slot, 6 PCI and 1 CNR slot. We should also point out that IVMB-845 doesn’t require any special power supply units with an additional 12V connector, like many other i845 based mainboards do. It is now selling in Japan for $120.
The curious thing about it is the fact that InnoVISION doesn’t produce the mainboards at its own production lines but buys them from PCPartner to sell under InnoVISION brand name. No doubt that IVMB-845 is none other but 845AS4-235 from PCPartner. Nevertheless, this first move into the mainboard market means that InnoVISION is panning to stay there for a considerable while.
