We continue to describe the newcomers powered by SiS648 core-logic. It seems that we now have reached one of the most advanced and feature-rich mainboards based on the latest chipset from SiS. The AS45GT/AS45GT-R from Shuttle truly supports all the necessary features expected from modern mainboards. Take a look:
- Supports Socket 478 Pentium 4 processors with 400/533MHz FSB;
- SiS648 + SiS963 core-logic;
- 3 DIMM slots for up to 3GB of PC1600, PC2100, PC2700 or DDR400 DDR SDRAM;
- 5 PCI, 1 AGP Pro 8x;
- Integrated 2-channel ATA-133 controller;
- ATA-133 RAID controller from HighPoinå (only for AS45GT-R);
- 2 Serial ATA-150 devices supported by AS45GT-R;
- 6 USB 2.0 ports;
- 3 IEEE1394 ports;
- AC’97 6-channel audio solution;
- ATX Form Factor with traditional for Shuttle round corner PCB plate;
Among the interesting features the newcomer can provide are Reset and Power micro-buttons on the board that can be useful when installing the device. As every mainboard these days, AS45GT/R offers several functions for overclockers, such as FSB speed with 1MHz step adjustments, as well as Vcore, Vmem and Vagp tuning.
Shuttle has already begun to supply its novelties. The recommended street retail price is 130 Euros for the mainboard with ATA-133 RAID controller and 115 Euros for the product without RAID support.
