As we read over at EBN, officials of SVG Lithography, Wilton, Conn., this week confirmed that the firm is delaying shipments of the equipment for 0.13micron manufacturing process for 3-4 months. This delay is supposed to tell drastically on the release date for the upcoming Intel Pentium III (Tualatin) processors.
Intel’s officials nevertheless, refused to comment on this and claimed that Intel was still on schedule to begin 0.13-micron chip processing "sometime at midyear" in both Fab 20 in Hillsboro, Ore. and Fab 22 in Chandler, Ariz. To tell the truth, this seems quite credible so far, at least until some other info pops up.
