Gainward announced that they would show new graphics products during CeBIT show in late March. Namely these will be:
  • GeForce3 PowerPack !!!. This card is based on NVIDIA GeForce3 GPU and is equipped with 64MB DDR memory. Also there is an S-video-out connector. This product will be available after CeBIT.
  • GeForce2 MX TwinView VIVO "Golden Sample". This graphics card is based on NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400 GPU. It is equipped with 2 VGA output connectors for dual-display applications plus 2 video-in and 2 video-out connectors (composite video and S-video) for digital video-recording and digital video-editing applications. It will be provided with 32MB of 4.5ns SDRAM display memory. The product will be available after CeBIT.
  • GeForce2 MX TwinView "Golden Sample". This is one more graphics card built on NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400 GPU with 2 VGA output connectors for dual-display applications plus S-video-out. There will be 32MB of 4.8ns SDRAM display memory. The card will be available after CeBIT, too.
  • Hollywood MX. The third card based on NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400 GPU will be equipped with 32MB of 4.8ns display memory and will feature an on-board TV-tuner, stereo sound, and video-in/video-out. The availability is schedules for after CeBIT period.
  • GeForce2 MX/TV JUMBO "Golden Sample". One more GeForce2 MX400 based graphics solution with a 64MB 5.5ns SDRAM will be selling for around $180. The card will also have an S-video output connector.
  • GeForce2 MX/TV "Golden Sample". The last GeForce2 MX400 based product in this rich family features 32MB of 4.8ns memory plus an S-video output connector.
As you may see, Gainward is focusing on graphics cards with extraordinary features or on overclocked cards. The company used to supply this kind of products before and seems to be going on with this tradition. The only question that remains open is NVIDIA’s attitude towards things like that. We wonder what they think about Gainward “showing off” in such a way?
