Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) announced that it would showcase its SiS635/SiS735, SiS630S/SiS730S and SiS315 chipsets during CeBIT 2001. Here are some features of these products:
  • SiS635/SiS735 chipsets. These are two new chipsets supporting both: DDR and PC133 SDRAM and designed for Intel Celeron, Pentium III, and Tualatin, and AMD Athlon and Duron. They represent a single-chip design, which adopts "open-architecture" integrating the South/North Bridge, Multi-threaded I/O Link (a high-speed PCI bus) and multi-functional voice/communication technologies. In addition, they come with advanced features such as AGP4x interface, Fast Write, 3D audio, high-speed data transmission, including 56K Modem, 10/100 Fast Ethernet, 1M/10MB Home PNA, and IDE ATA100/66/33.
  • SiS630S/730S chipsets. These chipsets integrate the North and South Bridge chips, and an enhanced 128bit 3D graphics accelerator (SiS300) into a single chip for Intel and AMD processors correspondingly. As a single chip solution, the SiS630S/730S allow smaller logic board design with full functional capabilities. They support 56K Modem, Fast Ethernet, 1/10MB Home PNA and IDE ATA100 and provide hardware DVD playback, flexible dual view display and 3D positional audio. As for the memory, they support PC100/PC133 SDRAM.
  • SiS315 chipset. The SiS315 is the 256bit 2D/3D high-performance graphic engine supporting Transform and Lighting (T&L) for the mainstream desktop PC. It supports AGP4x interface and the memory up to 128MB. When accompanied with SiS301 video bridge, SiS315 also supports dual display, LCD output and TV-out applications.
