Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) announced the release of the K7SEM mainboard based on SiS730S chipset. K7SEM is a MicroATX, Socket A board for AMD Athlon processors with FSB speeds to 200MHz. There are 2 DIMM slots that support up to 1GB PC100/PC133 SDRAM. Expansion options are catered for by way of 2 PCI slots, an AGP slot, an AMR slot and a CNR slot. The board will also support the 1.5GHz Thunderbird. The board also features ATA/100 support, AC97 audio and the ITE 8705 built-in hardware system monitoring function. K7SEM also comes with an RTL8139C LAN chip.
The K7SEM can also boast ECS’s Magic Setting (allows overclockers to adjust the CPU frequency without fiddling around with setting up jumpers), LAN wake-up, suspend to RAM and keyboard power on features.
