As is known, the additional 32MB of memory on GeForce2 Pro and GeForce2 Ultra are not used in most applications and hence do not make up for the money you spent on them. ELSA chose a very extraordinary way and simply replaced the memory of GeForce2 GTS with a faster 5ns one. As a result, GeForce2 Pro appeared, which is said to cost around $200.
Of course, ELSA’s "initiative" arouses only positive response, however, what we are really puzzled about is how on earth they managed to agree upon this issue with NVIDIA?! Especially, bearing in mind that the latter cares a lot about the manufacturers following the reference design as precisely as possible. This card is quite likely to be aimed at the Asian market only.
Unfortunately, the due dates weren’t reported.
