Today MSI officially announced two new Socket370/FC-PGA ATX mainboards based on VIA Apollo Pro266 chipset and supporting DDR memory. They are:
  • Pro 266 Plus-I. This mainboard is provided with 1 AGP Pro, 1 CNR and 6 PCI slots. It features 3 DIMM slots for up to 3GB DDR memory. Among the board’s special features we should mention 6 USB ports, integrated sound, integrated 1394 IEEE controller and ATA/100 interface. Also the board supports D-LED diagnostic technology, T.O.P. Tech. III monitoring the system environment and PC Alert III.
  • Pro266 Master-R. This mainboard comes equipped with 1 AGP Pro, 1 CNR and 5 PCI slots. As for the memory it supports both: PC133 SDRAM (2 DIMMs) and PC1600/PC2100 DDR SDRAM (3 DIMMs). Besides, there is an onboard Promise IDE RAID controller, integrated sound, 6 USB ports. The mainboard supports MSI’s brand PC2PC connection and D-LED diagnostic technology.
