As we read over at Clubic, DFI decided to make a few changes to its product range, namely, replace its AK74-AC mainboard (VIA KT133A based) with a new model aka AK75-EC. This product is just the same as its predecessor. This is also an ATX Socket A board equipped with 3 DIMMs, 5 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 AMR and 2 USB ports. Unlike the previous model, this board doesn’t have the ISA slot and features advanced overclocking opportunities. It allows changing the CPU clock frequency multiplier, which was impossible by AK74-AC.
According to DFI guys, the cost of the new board shouldn’t rise and is expected to remain just like the cost of the predecessor, i.e. around $154.
