As we read over at VTR-Hardware, Soltek is planning to announce two new mainboards supporting PC1600/PC2100 DDR SDRAM and AMD Athlon/Duron CPUs. They are:
  • SL-75DRA. This mainboard will be based on AMD-760 chipset and will be equipped with 6 PCI slots, 1 AGP Pro, and 2 DIMM slots. Besides, there will be also an integrated sound controller from Creative.
  • SL-75DRV. This mainboard will be built on VIA KT266 and will have an AGP Pro slot, 5 PCI, 1 AMR and three 184-pin DIMM slots for DDR memory. There will be 4 USB ports and AC’97 sound onboard.
All in all, Soltek keeps performing in its usual way and throwing into the market low-cost mainboards of not the best quality even though they are based on expensive chipsets and targeted for high-performance systems.
