ATI RADEON VE Started Selling. [02/19/2001 07:39 PM]

ATI announced the first shipments of its RADEON VE graphics cards targeted for office PCs. The recommended price of the product is $99, which make it the first graphics solution from sub-$100 price category supporting dual-monitor configurations. Moreover, the implementation of dual-monitor support by RADEON VE, aka HydraVision, is quite clever. For instance, it allows setting the refresh rates and resolutions for each of the two monitors independently as well as connecting LCD panels or TV-sets instead one of the monitors in the configuration.
