AOpen announced two new mainboard modifications: AK73 Pro A and AK73 Pro A-1394 based on VIA KT133A chipset supporting AMD Athlon with 266MHz FSB. In fact, the only difference between these boards and AK73 Pro/AK73 Pro-1394 makes exactly the support of the new processors. Both boards are designed on a black PCB and feature 5 PCI slots, 1 AGP 4x and 1 AMR each. Besides, AK73 Pro A and AK73 Pro A-1394 are equipped with 3 DIMM slots for max 1.5GB of memory.
The boards also support AC’97 sound and feature 4 USB slots. Moreover, judging by the name of AK73 Pro A-1394 you may have already guessed that it has an integrated IEEE-1394 controller: TI TSB43LV22. As for other functions, we should definitely point out that both products support Dr. Voice and Dr. Led diagnostic technologies, and DIE-HARD BIOS similar to DualBIOS.
