The German magazine Chip carried out a couple of tests on the mobile NVIDIA GeForce2 Go. For a better comparison they took a pretty old but quite popular ATI Rage Mobility 128 chip. The systems tested were configured in the following way:

 Toshiba Satellite 2805-S402Dell Latitude C800
CPU850MHz850MHz
FSB frequency100MHz100MHz
Chipseti815i815
Memory128MB SDRAM128MB SDRAM
Graphics chipNVIDIA GeForce2 GoATI Rage Mobility 128
Core frequency143MHz105MHz
Graphics memory16MB32MB
Memory frequency166MHz105MHz
Data bus width64bit128bit

And here are the numbers:

Quake3 1024x768, demo00132bit16bit
NVIDIA GeForce2 Go3452
ATI Rage Mobility 1281929
Expendable 1024x768, timedemo32bit16bit
NVIDIA GeForce2 Go2859
ATI Rage Mobility 1283945
3DMark 2000, default32bit16bit
NVIDIA GeForce2 Go 2929
ATI Rage Mobility 128 1910

As you can see, even a narrow data bus of GeForce2 Go doesn’t prevent it from beating ATI chip. And what about Mobility M4? Will it be as easy for GeForce2 Go?
