One of American AMD dealers shared some unofficial info on shipping schedule of the new AMD Athlon and Duron CPUs:
  • AMD Athlon 1.2GHz with 200MHz FSB should appear in mass next week already.
  • AMD Athlon 1.13GHz and 1.2GHz with 266MHz FSB are expected to appear in stores in the beginning of March.
  • AMD Athlon 1.3GHz and 1.33GHz and Duron 900MHz are coming to customers in the end of March.
In fact, this seems quite logical except for Duron 900 in the end of March. Moreover, it doesn’t make much sense for AMD to launch this processor now, because the eldest Celeron processor from the competitor family supports only 800MHz. Besides, according to AMD’s plans, we have recently told you about, Duron 900 is scheduled for mass sales only for late Q2 – early Q3 2001. So, please, take this info with a grain of skepticism.
