Last week the wholesale prices for the mass memory chips kept falling, however, the tempo of this process seems to have slowed down considerably this month. Well, let’s find out what’s going on with the PC133 memory modules. Here are some prices for your reference:
  • PC133 SDRAM 64MB - $18-24 (CL2 module based on MIRA chips);
  • PC133 SDRAM 128MB - $35.5-45 (with CL2);
  • PC133 SDRAM 256MB - $71-90 (with CL2).
Compared to what we told you last week in our news, the overall price for mass modules dropped down by 10% and that for High-End pieces with CL2 remained unchanged.
And now we would like to say a few words about DDR SDRAM. Compared to what we observed last week, there haven’t been any significant changes made to the DDR pricing. Only 256MB modules without ECC got somewhat cheaper (by 4% on the average). See some prices below:
  • PC2100 DDR SDRAM 128MB - $120-140 (with ECC);
  • PC2100 DDR SDRAM 256MB - $240-280 (with ECC).
And finally comes RDRAM. The situation didn’t change a wink:
  • PC800 RDRAM 64MB - $100;
  • PC800 RDRAM 128MB - $180-190;
  • PC800 RDRAM 256MB - $360-370.
