According to this post on our Discussion Board, AMD Athlon processors with 266MHz FSB are to start selling on 26 January. Theoretically, AMD has been long ready for mass shipments of the so-called Athlon-C processors. The company simply waited for the DDR mainboards and PC2100 DDR SDRAM, which are required for their CPU, to appear in sufficient quantities. Now it looks as if the right time has finally come. Moreover, there are also VIA KT133A based mainboards available now. And as you know, they support the new Athlon processors with 266MHz FSB and PC133 SDRAM. And frankly speaking, they perform really impressively!
