Well, as Tyan has promised, the company keeps working out solutions for all market spheres, which may require dual-processor products. Although the appropriate chipsets for dual-processor solutions are now offered only by VIA and ServerWorks, there are not so many people, who would rely on VIA.
The new "extra light" solution from Tyan aka Tiger LE S2515ING is based on SW Server Set III LE chipset and is targeted for the fast growing market of low-cost 19"/1U servers. Tiger LE can boast all the features of its elder brother another low-profile mainboard, Thunder LE (Dual FC-PGA, SW LE, up to 4GB RAM, dual-channel Intel x559 Ethernet controller, integrated ATI Rage-XL graphics core, 2x 84bit PCI). However, instead of the integrated SCSI controller there is a dual-channel ATA/100 IDE RAID controller: Promise FastTrak100 on Tiger LE mainboard. It supports RAID 0, 1, 0+1 levels.
The mainboard seems to be an optimal solution for ISP systems. Moreover, it is verified for Linux.
