Duron 850 Launch on Monday. [01/06/2001 10:10 AM]

As we have told you already, AMD Duron 850 is due on Monday – just a week after Intel Celeron 800 was launched. As we saw over here today, 850MHz Duron will be priced at $149 each in quantities of 1,000.
AMD said it offers a 5 percent to 7 percent performance increase over the 800MHz Duron, which it reduced from $170 to $112. The 750MHz Duron was reduced from $112 to $88. AMD has also ceased the manufacturing of its 850MHz Athlon processor, due to the release of the 850MHz Duron.
