Apacer technology introduced new CompactFlash cards intended for expensive digital cameras. Due to the newest technologies developed together with the American Silicon Storage Technology, the new CompactFlash cards boast much higher data recording rate.

New CompactFlash cards called Velox Pro are of 128MB storage capacity and allow recording data in parallel streams. This increases the data recording speed up to 4MB/sec, which the same value by the classical CompactFlash cards is only 1.2MB/sec.

As for the cost of the new products, Apacer Velox Pro are expected to sell for about 20% higher price than the regular CompactFalsh cards. Apacer Velox Pro will start selling this week, and in September we will see another version of this solution with 256MB storage capacity. Velox Pro shipments should make around 20% of all CompactFalsh cards shipments this autumn.
